Dr_Spivack.jpgPeople travel from locations all across the Western Slope, even as far as Grand Junction, to come to Spivack Western Slope LASIK Center in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The reason is Dr. Lawrence Spivack.

"When I first entered ophthalmology, I never dreamed of the enormous impact that I would ultimately have on the vision of so many people." —Dr. Lawrence Spivack

Lawrence Spivack, M.D. is one of the most experienced surgeons in the United States. He has performed more than 40,000 vision correction procedures since 1983 when he founded Spivack Vision in Denver, Colorado. He pioneered the introduction of Radial Keratotomy in the early 1980s and participated in the development of several different types of refractive surgery. He was one of the first people in Colorado to perform LASIK with an FDA-approved laser in 1995.

Dr. Spivack started his practice in Glenwood Springs in 2005 . He felt that the people on the Western Slope of Colorado deserved to have "big city" advanced LASIK technology in their own backyard. He understands the active lifestyles of the people in this region, and his outstanding track record of 20/20 vision after LASIK allows his patients to achieve higher aspirations in all of their endeavors.

"I want the same results for each patient that I would for myself or members of my family."

Dr. Spivack is actively involved with the Cancer League of Colorado. As the founding ophthalmic member of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, he provides free medical care for many of Colorado’s homeless population.
